YUKATA JAPANESE FASHION COMPETITION

JAPAN CLUB OF VICTORIA FEB 2002 As part of the Bon-Odori festival a Yukata competition was held. Yukata is a Japanese informal summer kimono. You can see many beautiful competitors! Click on the images to see a larger version.
Attention to presentation, detail and tradition are all important factors when determining the best dressed in the Yukata competition. Sometimes you need to take a break and enjoy the summer festival atmosphere by having Kaki-goori – shaved ice with a syrup made of fruit juice like extract. AND THE WINNERS ARE...
